CGE Puriglass

Cge PuriGlass or Heat soak is a thermal treatment that strengthens and toughens glass.

It can be applied to a wide range of glass products including custom patterned or coloured glass after tempering. The process will remove 98% of the impurities in glass, making it almost shatter-proof.

Heat soak glass will offer greatly improved strength, impact resistance and safety but do bear in mind that it cannot be cut or shaped after production.

Having said that, it can still be polished or produced with a beveled or rounded edge for various applications.

This type of glass is usually used where security or intrusion prevention is important, or where the glass may be part of a load bearing structure. Examples of these include: shop-fronts, entrance doors and partitions or similar circumstances where there is a risk of human impact.
